Alcohol Ink by Octopus Fluids for Fluid Art

Even though our focus is on the development of inks for industrial applications, we occasionally implement heart projects of our employees. Our chemist Alexandra Pohl M. Sc., supported by the artist Petra Silvia Fuchs, has developed an alcohol ink in many months of work.

Alcohol Ink describes both a fluid painting technique and the alcohol ink itself. Fluid Painting, also called Fluid Art, includes further techniques such as Acrylic Pouring and Resin Art. The Fluid Art trend originated in America and since 2018 / 2019 has gradually spread to Germany. More and more artists and creatives are discovering these exciting painting techniques.

During the development of our Octopus Fluids alcohol ink, we placed great emphasis on the use of high-quality raw materials and dyestuffs, whereby our Alcohol Inks are characterized by their particularly brilliant colors with radiant luminosity and a very balanced Intercolor Bleeding. Fluid Painting with our Fluids Alcohol Inks but also their use in Resin-Art-Projects in the hobby area as well as in the professional artistic use can achieve results, which meet the highest expectations.

Currently, a range of 23 brilliant colours is available, which are perfectly matched to each other. These are complemented by three metallic shades, the Octopus Fluids Blending Solution and a special cleaner. You can buy our translucent Alcohol Inks online here.

We are especially proud of our further development, the Alcohol Ink Series “OPAK”. You can buy our opaque Alcohol Inks here. This collection consists of 12 soft pastel shades and a deep black. The Alcohol Inks of the collection “OPAK” are based on a formula to which pigments have been added in addition to the colouring dyes. Due to this special formulation, these Alcohol Inks are opaque and thus enable exciting effects on black canvas and many other dark surfaces. On white surfaces, our Alcohol Inks OPAK create beautiful pastel-coloured colour gradients.

All our Alcohol Inks are perfectly matched and can be combined with each other.
